Machinery Canyon
Big waterfalls, big cliffs and lots of history are what we
find in Machinery Creek. Abseiling is a key focus on this tour, with six
waterfalls we descend with the use of ropes. The biggest is Petrifying Falls,
as named by explorer Henry Hellyer in the early 1800s (we’ll tell you why when
you come along!).
This is a full day out and participants need to be fit.
There is less current, so an ability to swim is not required.
If it’s your first time with us, we recommend doing Dove
Canyon before this one. Dove Canyon is more subject to flooding than Machinery
Creek, so we sometimes move Dove Canyon tours to Machinery Creek if it is
raining.
